Billboards Hijacked in Paris
We’ve talked about bans on billboard advertising, and initiatives to replace them with art. But in Paris, they’ve been hijacked. Spotted in the Strasbourg Saint-Denis Metro station, these retro-illuminated billboards are apparently the work of the Antipub brigade (antipublicity), a group of left-wing activists who use ad spaces as political protest venues, this time to coincide with the French regional elections on Sunday.

Second from left: "Double your profit : Demand a new planet"

Left: "The state protects the banks, the wealthy and the corporations...what about us?"
